Abstract: This 10 page paper (including 1 page appendix) is based on a case study of Merck have the opportunity to license a new drug from LAB Pharmaceuticals, the drug which may have the potential to treat both depression and the obesity simultaneously. The case study examines whether or not Merck should make the investment, looking at the potential value the different outcomes, the risks involved and the potential costs.
