Bridgeton Case Study

Abstract: This 6 page paper is based on a case study provided by the student. The company has been facing increased competition and reducing costs. The paper starts by reviewing the reasons for the difficulties in terms of cost control, identifying where costs have increased and giving general background to the case. The potential impact of outsourcing production of one product (manifolds) is considered in terms of the overhead costs and then projections are presented for the following year, one where production carries on a one-way production is outsourced. The paper ends with a recommendation. The bibliography cites 5 sources.
