Agency Relationship Conflict and Resolution

Abstract: This 7 page report discusses the additional pressures of the agency relationship that exists between corporate managers and shareholders and the potential for conflict that exists. The relationship between shareholders (principals) and management (agents) is viewed as a contract in which the agent's actions are conditioned by incentive structures incorporated into the contract. Aligning the interests of the two parties is where conflict is certain to present itself. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
