The European Union -- Is It More Powerful than Its Member Nations?

Abstract: This 7 page report discusses whether or not the new power and primacy of the European Union will ultimately outshine the sovereignty of the EU's independent nation-members. Numerous factors relating to modern Europe cause any political scientist or student of European history to wonder how long this 'union' will hold and what will be its ultimate outcomes. Therefore, it would be truly foolish to only study the politics and attitudes of the Union without also studying the national origins that shaped many of those same attitudes.
