Assessing Divisional Performance

Abstract: There are a number of traditional approaches that may be used to assess the performance of different division within a firm. This 6 page paper looks at some of these methods including assessment of targets against market share, profit requirements and in line with the BCG matrix and then suggests some more modern and flexible approaches including the use of activity based costing.
