Baroque, Classical and Romantic/Comparing 3 Works

Abstract: A 6 page essay that examines three great musical works, and compares, first of all, the overall characteristics of each work and then specifically analyzes them in terms of their differences, similarities and unique elements. The selections chose are Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor from the Baroque period; Beethoven's Fifth Symphony from the Classical; and Chopin's Polonaise in A-Flat from the Romantic. The paper concludes with the writer's personal impressions of Chopin's Polonaise. No bibliography is offered.
