The Use of a SWOT Analysis in Developing Strategies

Abstract: This 6 page paper demonstrates the use of the Strengths weaknesses opportunities and threats analysis, otherwise know as a SWOT analysis. To illustrate its use two leisure companies, Carnival Corp, a global cruise line operator and travel company, and Nike a sportswear producer are examined, and the results of the analysis are then used to give the company advise on future strategy including finance, acquisitions, marketing and consolidation in the current economical conditions.
