Global Poverty

Abstract: This 31 page paper loos at the problem of global poverty and considers the argument that the best way to reduce poverty in developing countries is to increase the level of globalization and their participation in the international markets. The paper stars by looking at the measures and level of global poverty in developing countries, some of the ways that it is being tackled, such as the Millennium Development Plan and then looks at the impact that globalization has already had to economic development and wages. The last part of the paper uses data from the World Bank to project the potential outcomes if the current patterns of increasing globalization continue at the same rate. The bibliography cites 31 sources.
