Microeconomic Analysis of the Auto Market

Abstract: A 5 page paper discussing the microeconomic concepts that apply to both the producing companies providing new cars and the market segment that purchases the products. Macroeconomic conditions affect producers' choices in terms of input, and they affect the choices of potential buyers at the household level. Substitution is difficult in the auto industry; the paper uses GM's funding of Delphi layoffs as an example. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
