The pressures applied to German Jews were many and varied; the extent to which they were forced to suffer demands put upon by such entities as Nuremberg, the Evian Conference, Kristallnacht and the SS St. Louis are both grand and far-reaching; that options were also open to them by virtue of going into hiding, Danish Jews and Sobibor speak to some of the opportunities available to them.
