Hybrid Cars and Economic Law

Abstract: A 5 page paper discussing supply and demand, then applying the discussion to the sale of hybrid cars such as the Toyota Prius. Price appears to be lower (and it is lower than high-end SUVs, Hummers and luxury cars), which influences demand even more than does greater environmental awareness among consumers. Supply is greater now than in the past but is expected to remain tight as automakers seek to provide new products that will gain consumers' attention and as consumers respond.
