Unemployment Rates In The Prosperous Economy

Abstract: A 5 page paper looking at what is really happening with the unemployment rates in this country. While Europe hovers in double digits, unemployment is at its lowest here in 24 years. The result has been a pronounced labor shortage in the lower-paying industries and an increase in hourly rates. As employers of mostly-skilled workers begin to cut back, employers of the relatively unskilled find themselves with a new and more qualified labor pool, leaving the bottom end of the spectrum out of jobs once again.
