Abstract: This 14 page paper provides an overview of elements of health care promotion programs. Many suburban small towns experience problems with determining the best route to health education. While urban centers have a multitude of health problems, small suburban communities are often reluctant to take advantage of the kind of health promotion programming that can substantially change their way of life. Smoking cessation, HIV education and treatment programs, and STD awareness are all health promotion programs that can be beneficial in suburban communities. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
