Abstract: The number of global banks is increasing. This 10 page paper considers the role and purpose of the main divisions within these banks and the impact of legislative changes. It is argued that there are two main divisions resulting a commercial banking division and an investment division. These are examined individually. The bibliography cites 6 sources.
