Abstract: This 14 page paper examines the financial performance of the KU supermarket J Sainsbury. Numerous ratios are calculated for 2002 and 2004, all figures and calculations are shown with the results of Sainsbury's compared to Tesco, the number one UK supermarket, and Wal-Mart, the parent company of Asda. The results are analysed and projections for the next two years are made including draft profit and loss account and balance sheet. The bibliography cites 7 sources.
