Abstract: This 8 page paper examines how the adoption of labour intensive export manufacturing assisted the growth of the East Asian Tigers economies. The paper considers the reasons behind the growth and how it took place in order to assess the role played by labour intensive export manufacturing industries in stimulating the economic growth of the area.
