Abstract: This 10 page paper examines the country of Singapore. The first part of the paper looks at the economic performance of the country, including GDP, manufacturing output, investment, importing and exports and unemployment. The paper then considers the social conditions. The second part of the paper discusses the colonial history of the island, how the area developed and the influences that can still be seen today, including the political and legal systems.
