Stem Cell Research: the Science and the Ethics

Abstract: A 12 page overview of stem cell research and the potentially wonderful applications that research could be applied to in the future. The author emphasizes, however, that stem cell utilization requires the harvest of cells. The primary donors are aborted fetuses. The contention is presented that until that limitation can be overcome, stem cell applications are unethical in that they depend on taking the life of one individual to enhance the life of another.
