Protecting a Company from Fraud

Abstract: This 14 page paper considers how a security manager may protect a company from suffering fraud. The paper outlines different types of fraud and considers both external frauds, such as credit card fraud, as well as internal fraud, as recently suffered by VISA. The paper looks at the different threats and the tools or procedures that can be used to minimize exposure to those threats and to detect fraud when it occurs. The bibliography cites 12 sources.
