Project Appraisal; A Case Study

Abstract: This 20 page paper uses a case study provided by the student (Robert PLC) to show how a new project may be assessed in accounting terms. The paper shows the student how to calculate the payback period, the revenue streams for the life of the project and the net present value. The analysis is then used to assess the viability of the project and the analysis is considered for its suitability in this scenario. Other factors that may need to be considered are also outlined. The bibliography cites 7 sources.
