Abstract: This 11 page paper examines the use of dangerous and/or illegal radio pranks for ratings versus the potential for FCC fines and/or punishment. This paper suggests that many radio stations are indeed willing to risk FCC action in order to boost ratings, and many examples are provided which support this argument.
