Violence In The Media

Abstract: 4 pages in length. Violence in the media is said to be a direct reflection of how society already exists rather than an influential precursor to social discord. While there is a significant amount of characteristic violence within the boundaries of social interaction, it is readily argued how this image is perpetuated as opposed to being inspired by what the media represent. Indeed, media impact upon social perspective is a wholly significant component in today's information/entertainment hungry society; whether in the form of fiction or reality, the predominance of violence in contemporary media has become a standard of popular culture and news providers alike.
