Ancient Egypt

Abstract: This 6 page paper begins by describing Egypt's strategic geographic location and the seven distinct periods in the history of ancient Egypt. The second period, the Old Kingdom is emphasized in this paper. The Upper and Lower Egypt is described along with the unification of the two Egypts and the significance of that event. The writer discusses the integration of government and religion, in fact, all facets of ancient Egyptian life was founded in religion. Examples are included. The essay ends with a brief commentary on Middle Kingdom when Hyksos ruled the land. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
