Abstract: A 25 page paper discussing corporate governance and small and medium sized enterprises (SME) in Singapore. The paper reviews a corporate governance conference held in 2000 and examines events at Enron and Rite Aid. The paper focuses on transparency and the need for accurate accounting. It concludes that a higher level of corporate governance can be valuable, regardless of the size of the company or the nation in which it is located. Bibliography lists 20 sources.
