Antonin Artaud

Abstract: An 8 page discussion of Artaud's contributions, both pro and con to the world of art, film and literature. The paper reviews his influence on a number of past and present artists from his manifesto 'The Theatre of Cruelty' and the accompanying legacy of a life on drugs and how these two are inexplicably linked either in terms of art or reality in the theater of violence and death.
