World Systems Theory And World Politics

Abstract: This 5 page paper discusses and explains Wallerstein's World Systems Theory. The theory was based on the study of world economic power over history and concluded there are four classifications of states. The core states, which are the most powerful, influence politics and government in ways that continue to favor them at the expense of others. The basic tenets of the theory are included.
