Microsoft as Monopoly?

Abstract: A 5 page paper examining whether Microsoft has a monopoly in the context of economists' definitions. The paper discusses perfect competition, monopoly and the differences between them, and then assesses an article from Britain's The Economist in light of economists' definitions of the terms. The paper notes that Microsoft was unable to sell Explorer in the early days and was obliged to give it away in order to get it before potential users. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
