ROLE OF THE INDEPENDENT AUDITOR

Abstract: This 10 page paper discusses the assumed role of the independent auditor and compares it to the reality of the job. The collapse of Enron and the Phar-mor investigations are discussed in relation to the independent auditor's roles. Predictions are made about the future structure of big business and the way in which the independent auditor is utilized.
