Euro Disneyland

Abstract: A 7 page paper discussing Disney's approach to financing its French location in the late 1980s. Disney devised an intricate financing plan in which it would create a financing company that would lease the finished park to the operating company for 20 years, then sell the park to the operating company for a nominal value. In the meantime, it fully involved the French government to make the government a stakeholder as well, and offered stock in a company with no earnings and no revenues. The paper provides a SWOT analysis, two alternative strategies and discussion of the recommended strategy. Bibliography lists 1 source.
