Credit Cards as Plastic Money

Abstract: 5 pages. With credit cards being offered to consumers almost daily throught their mailbox, through the internet, and virtually everywhere we turn, there is no wonder that credit card usage has multiplied exponentially within the last decade. Along with credit card use, credit card abuse has grown just as well. It is too easy for consumers to get in over their heads when making purchases painlessly through the use of so-called 'plastic money.' By just handing over a credit card to pay for something, the consumer does not really take in the full impact of the amount of money that is being spent, and the fact that they are digging into a deeper hole of debt.
