Abstract: A 5 page paper discussing the book in terms of comparing Kindleberger's views of financial crisis with those of the late Rao Aiyagari, using speculation of the demise of the business cycle as the point of comparison. The paper also discusses Kindleberger's view of the 'lender of the last resort' and refutes the notion that such lending will necessitate increased regulation, saying that such increase is dependent on whether the lender is a domestic or international entity.
