To Build or Not To Build: An Assisted Living Private Health Care Dilemma

Abstract: A 5 page outline of the community needs and economic considerations facing Kidron Bethel, a Mennonite sponsored elder support network in the Western District Conference of the General Conference Mennonite Church in Kansas. Although this facility is currently experiencing economic difficulties there is an outcry for the construction of assisted living facilities. Suggests that the dilemma which is presented regarding whether or not to build those units can be initially addressed utilizing a carefully-designed analysis of the degree of financial investment the community can support both today and in the future.
