Abstract: A 5 page paper examining the issue of whether the media merely reported the news of Diana's funeral or if it created news as well. The paper concludes that the news media did influence events preceding Diana's funeral, particularly the enormous floral tribute of 10,000 tons of flowers left at Britain's palaces.
