A Thunderstorm in August

Abstract: This 5 page report tells the story of experiencing a summer thunderstorm in the high desert of the American Southwest. It is a descriptive paper that outlines the process of an August thunderstorm. . Despite what most people assume about the desert and the dry harshness of the land, it is a spectacularly alive place. In the midst of summer storm, the smells and sounds that fill the high desert country of the Colorado Plateau create a kaleidoscope of sensation. In the hottest months of the year, there always seem to be one or two nights in which the air is filled with a storm intensity that a person can actually feel. Bibliography lists one reference source.
