Ancient Forms - New Designs.
Abstract: (5 pp). Classic shapes or forms often repeat themselves throughout various cultures. The structural column, the dome, and the circle may be used in the creation of sacred space, the reflections of the ideal, and as representations of power. Each society treats these symbols differently. This discussion will examine some of those ancient forms, or symbols, plus a modern comparison. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
