The Valuation of Dot Com Companies

Abstract: This 18 page paper considers the way that .com companies are valued in comparison to traditional companies, why this is and the effect it has. To demonstrate this the different companies are discussed with a concentration on Freeserve. Aspects of the recent share performance are considered, including the crash of spring 2000 in addition the method of valuing by discounting also considers as a valid valuation method of the investment.
