The Impact of the Computer on Customer Service

Abstract: (5 pp) Customer service has evolved with the advent of computers and the internet. The change that is most striking, but reveals a much larger concept, is a change in language. Customer service is now known as "customer relationship or customer relationship management (CRM). The interesting thought seems to be, a return to the type of "valued customer" service of a pre-computer age, and then applying to a higher technology orientation.
