The Propagation of Financial Crises

Abstract: This 11 page paper consider two economic crashes, that of 1929 America and the 1990's Asian crash. The paper looks individually at the facts of each case and then brings them together in a model that argues it is the asset bases and the credit constraints due to level of borrowing that can be seen a propagating the crises and extending them over related and non related sectors as well as determining the rate of recovery. The bibliography cites 9 sources.
