The Essenes Analyzed
Abstract: This 5 page research paper examines the all-male Jewish communal group known as the Essenes. Specifically considered are the Essene ideas and the more extreme group which emerged from them at the Dead Sea, referring to the Dead Sea scrolls, including the book of Enoch, and how the Qumran group envisioned the end of history, and the role they played in it, if any.
