American Colleges Should Rank Themselves.

Abstract: (5 pp) Current college accreditation methods must change. College accreditation started off with the right idea, but now college ivy now hides its original goal and clouds an educational institution's mission statement as well as its methods towards accomplishing its perceived goals. Part of this murkiness is that the evaluation team or accreditors evaluate a college based on collegiality and assistance, avoiding all hint of comparisons among supposed equals. Comparisons of multiple factors are necessary if parents and students are to base their educational needs on informed choices. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
