The Euro; Its Performance and Relationship with the Dollar

Abstract: This seven page paper gives a general background on the single European currency and its recent performance. The paper then goes to look at the way in which many seemingly unrelated economies have helped prop up the value of the Euro and explains why this has occurred. This is illustrated using examples from the United States economy showing the effect that the falling currency has had on both government deficits as well as corporate America.
