Ecotourism: A Promise for the Perpetuity of U.S. Habitat and Environmental and Archaeological Resources

Abstract: A 5 page discussion of the emerging phenomena of eco and archaeotourism. Defines ecotourism and outlines its evolution from its origin in primarily third world to its advent in more developed countries such as the United States. Enumerates the pros and cons of such tourism and concludes that with proper planning ecotourism can not only provide much needed revenues for the conservation of natural and archaeologically valuable areas but also protect those resources.
