Abstract: The value of quality and quantity of objects produced in response to human wants and, or, needs is the cornerstone of supply and demand economics. This 10 page paper provides an overview of the determinants of the elasticity of demand for a commodity and argues that the concept of elasticity of demand is of importance to the entrepreneur because it helps to define the interaction between the market and the demand for certain products.
