The Influence of Geography on Regional Economies

Abstract: This 7 page paper looks at the way the geography of an area can effect that areas economy, moreover it is argued that it cannot fail to influence the regions economy. An example is used to demonstrate this point, the north of England and the location of coal mines has greatly influenced this region and that influence continues now, despite the fact most coal mines have now been closed and the industry has suffered a sharp decline.
