Abstract: This 12 page paper looks at monetary policy from both the classical and Keynesian perspectives . The first part of the paper discusses what is meant by monetary policy and how it is measured. The paper then looks at the application of monetary policy using the United Kingdom as an example demonstrating what will happen to an economy when interest rates and growth rates change.
