Comparison of Economic Development of Great Britain and Other European Nations

Abstract: An 8 page paper discussing both the common and distinguishing characteristics of Europe's early and later industrializing nations, using the world's first, Great Britain, as the primary point of comparison. Between the early and late industrializers, the only discernible "gray" area is that of the distinction between the end of the early industrializers period and the beginning of the latecomers. Germany is included with the early industrializers but the latecomers category begins with Switzerland. While there are some characteristics the two nations shared, there are others that did indeed separate them, not the least of which was sustainability. Distinctions among other early and later industrializers is much clearer. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
