The Art Of Observation: Writing Techniques

Abstract: The student of writing is often confronted with a need to utilize the skills of observation and description as well as putting pen to paper in a meaningful manner. This 6 page essay looks at a list of characteristics of a certain vehicle from a third person perspective and, through the process of observation, intuition and deductive reasoning, comes to a conclusion about the owner of the vehicle. Examples of similes, metaphors and compound sentences are indicated within the text.
