Same Circus, Different Clowns - Media Coverage in the Presidential Primaries of 1996 & 2000

Abstract: An 8 page analytic essay that examines the media's extensive coverage of the nation's Presidential Primaries and the direct effect this coverage has on campaign strategy and voter decision. Included is a discussion of different approaches used by print media that focuses on articles appearing in the New York Times and Time Magazine. Also included is a comparison between the media coverage of the 1996 Presidential Primaries and those of the year 2000. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
