The Texas Response to Ending School Quotas

Abstract: 5 pages in length. Examines the Hopwood case and affirmative action ruling as applied to Texas colleges and universities. While some find it interesting that a southern state is actively interested in pursuing minority attendance at colleges and universities, it is not at all an unusual occurrence. Because minorities make up a substantial number of the Texas population, by adding these minorities to the attendance at Texas colleges and universities this will drive the enrollment up. This in turn creates more funds for the institution. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
