Abstract: Even with their occasional lunacy, silliness, and off-beat plots, Vampire movies have an undeniable appeal in the contemporary world theater. Be it the eroticism of the free-spirited vampire, or the predictability of his clever seduction, Dracula and his offspring will probably continue to exist for as long as there are movies to watch ! This 9 page report analyzes how vampire stories have both changed and remained the same since they first appeared in print and then on "the big screen." A number of films are reviewed.
